We are proud to announce that we’re co-hosting “Mic Check: Music and Mental Health,” a new series of live-streamed concerts and experiences with our friends at Ninety3 Impact launched in April 2020.
We are hoping to offer the live-stream series weekly, with each event to include an appearance by a mental health professional and an artist.
The series features performances from both emerging and top artists alongside accredited mental health professionals and activists in an entertaining yet educational program. The goal of the series is to bring people in through the lens of entertainment and music during this quarantined time and let them leave with free resources and tangible strategies for managing their mental health.
Episode 1: Friday, April 10, with NAMI WLA’s Executive Director, Erin Raftery Ryan, and musical guest Forest Blakk, a Canadian singer-songwriter, spoken word poet, and passionate mental health advocate. See the recorded episode.
More coming soon!
