From playwright Josh Adell comes a new play performed by high school students to help raise awareness about mental health. Its powerful impact is something NAMI Westside LA wants to bring to every high school in the city and around the country.
Josh’s personal mission is to inspire the national conversation about teenage mental illness in order to erase the stigma and promote positive self-expression. Bravo, Josh, for taking it upon yourself to make change happen in a community which so desperately needs it.

Kairos Dance Company is a contemporary dance ensemble in Los Angeles. They are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that creates original and socially conscious works of extraordinary artistry to generate personal reflections and inspire action with individuals and to stimulate social progress in communities throughout the nation.
To commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month (May), Kairos, in partnership with NAMI Westside LA and Covenant House, will perform a multi-media and dance event on May 22 in Downtown Los Angeles (212 W 12th St, Los Angeles, 90015) promoting action to erase the stigma that surrounds mental illness called “Light In The Moonless Night”.
